As part of a complete renovation project, we were tasked to remove existing old gas fires, mend, renovate and expand the fire openings, install new wood burning stoves, finish the inside of the fire places and design new mantels, hearths and fire surrounds. This project is yet to be finalised but our concepts and proposed designs are below. We wanted to include a strong nod to the mid-century style of the existing fireplaces as well as incorporating some 1950s design features into the new proposals.
