We worked with a local building company to develop the loft of this property into a bedroom with a storage cupboard and access to the eaves for further storage. We opted for a side dormer with rear gable extension in order to maximise the roof space, ensure the new stairs were positioned towards the centre of the room and create an open and generous sized bedroom. We wanted the colours and material palette of the room to be light, natural and celebrate the owner’s love for old school cartoons – hence the Calvin and Hobbes wallpaper we created to decorate a small storage nook.
